The Vine Collection

We have a collection of over two hundred varieties, but make wine from just six. They are Madeleine Angevine, Pinot Noir, Regent, Chardonnay, Seyval, and Pinot Meunier.

Madeleine Angevine
The early-ripening grape is a cross between Madeleine Royale and Précoce de Malingre grapes.  Madeleine Angevine grows well in cooler climates, like the United Kingdom. It makes an attractive fruity wine with a flowery nose.  Wine produced from Madeleine Angevine is generally crisp, acidic and dry and pairs particularly well with seafoods such as crab and oysters.
Seyval Blanc
This white grape is widely planted in the UK it is a hybrid that can be relied upon to crop well; it has a good flavour and shows good resistance to most vine diseases.  Seyval copes well with the vagaries of the UK climate.
